Nnecra Packe biography
NNECRA PACKE are a French experimental outfit which have produced one album so far. They come from the kingdom of improvisation, offer experimental pieces close to an eclectic respectively avant-garde approach in the vein of NeBeLNeST, King Crimson or 16 Deadly Improvs, to name a few. Coupled with diverse sound effects the inspired dual guitar work shows a proper cosmic attitude too. French Musea label has released their album 'Paracelse' in 2002. Although quite unknown this band is really prolific, a challenge for prog music lovers.

Nnecra Packe Psychedelic/Space Rock

Review by Evolver
Special Collaborator Crossover & JR/F/Canterbury Teams

3 stars Nnecra Packe's only album to date exists in the space somewhere between Ozric Tentacle's trippy long jams and Pink Floyd's live version of Careful With That Axe, Eugene from the "Ummagumma" album.

The pieces, all somewhat experimental, usually begin with some swirling, hypnotic rhythms, with guitar solos and samples sounds filling in, and build to a frenzy. Again, if you enjoy Careful With That Axe, Eugene, complete with the screams (I often do, too), then you will probably enjoy this album as well.

But I must admit, there are times that this album annoys me as well. But really, the pluses far outweigh the minuses.

Thanks to rivertree for the artist addition.
