Sea Of Skies biography
SEA OF SKIES is a five-piece progressive metal band formed in Corona, California. The band was formed by two sets of brothers (and a bassist), Joey and Andrew VIRRUETA on vocals and guitars (both), Alex and Paul ZIMMER on guitar and drums respectively, and Drew HOWARD on bass. The band plays a mostly instrumental form of jazz and prog metal influenced djent.

Understandably by the djent label as well as the trio of guitars, the band takes much influence from fellow modern djenters such as PERIPHERY, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, TESSERACT, and more. The band released a set of instrumental demos in March of 2011 and followed it with their official debut EP, "Distance," in November of the same year.
