Waterclime biography
WATERCLIME is a project instigated by Swedish composer and multi-instrumentalist Andreas Hedlund, best known for his numerous ventures in various parts of the metal universe. This side project explores a softer side of his creativity however, his long time fascination for progressive rock given an outlet that draws inspiration from the likes of Yes, Uriah Heep and Rush, and also features the occasional nod towards jazz music. Two full length productions have been issued under this moniker so far: The Astral Factor from 2006 and Imgaginative from 2007.

2 stars His second album from 2007 named Imaginative issued at same Lion Music is anything elese but imaginative, really. Is one same level with predecesor, no real improvements, not real highlight or anything to capture my avid prog ears. The voice is most of the time medocre, but I can totlerate it, the instrumental parts are ok, but aswell lacks in something consistent, he plays ok on keyboards and all and is helped by some drumer who is not necesarly bad in what he does, but totaly unintrsting chops offers. Some ok pieces, or better said some parts from that pieces who I found to be enjoyble are from Flashes or Vison or Void, the rest are forgettable at best. Another 2.5 stars, I don't know, he needs to improve his song writting because otherwise no one, and I mean no one will ever listento his albums again.

2 stars Waterclime is one man project, featuring Mr.V aka no one else then Vintersorg or his real name Adreas Hedlund, who releases some respectable progressive/black metal albums under Vintersorg name in last decade or so. With Waterclime he changes direction and offers a diffrent kind of music, more towards progressive rock with some crossover elements. He issued two albums at Lion Music, the first one from 2006 is named Astral factor. Well, I don't know from where to grab his music from here, is not really bad overall, but something is definatly missing in his arrangements. To much talking and very few instrumental passages, who are alredy quite unintrsting most of the time. It contais some jazzy meets prog meets pop elements here and there. Is little chaotic in arrangements and do not offers some really inventive and memorable moments, with some exceptions here and there like opening track Mountains is quite ok, Diamond Moon or the ending one, thelongest Timewind, the rest is almost mediocre. I can listen to this album in the backround while I have something to work, otherwise it doesn't need much concentration to know what is going one. 2.5 stars, has some ok moments, but overall lacks in intrsting parts..
Thanks to windhawk for the artist addition.
