Thabu biography
THABU are a progressive metal act from Argentina. They were formed in September of 2004 by Carlos DI TIRRO (Vocals and Keyboards), Santiago DIAZ GARCES (Guitar and bass initially) and Leandro BULANIKIAN (Drums). In 2005 they record a 2-track EP and receive positive reviews. Marcos GUERCI joins as a bassist in the same year after several auditions.

The bassist position would change hands in 2006 (Salvatore CAPPELLI, involved in recordings of what was to be the debut album) and again in 2008 (Marco Ignacio TOBA). In September of the same year they finally release their debut ''La Opresion de lo Inevitable''. The release was followed by the replacement of DI TIRRO with Gisela BIANCHI (ex-SINAPSIS) who was meant to stay with the band only a few months. Recording of new material and the inclusion of James ROBLEDO (ex-ALTERNANCIA). Their second album, ''Reborn'' was self-released (as was the debut) in February 2012. The reputation achieved will lead to the band signing a contract with Pure Prog Records, which distribute the album in Europe, North America and Japan.

THABU play a dynamic progressive power metal and will appeal to fans of bands such as SYMPHONY X and ELDRITCH. They also incorporate elements of symphonic metal but also go a step further, infusing tango (!) in their music.
