These Monsters biography
THESE MONSTERS are a Post-Rock group from Leeds, England. They were formed in 2005 and have played with groups such as RUSSIAN CIRCLES, OCEANSIZE, MONO and 65DAYSOFSTATIC, amongst others. Known for using vintage equipment, their sound goes from noise to prog to straight forward rock. Unlike many post-rock bands they make use of saxophone. Although they started out as a post-rock group, they have since moved away from the genre. Their first album called Call Me Dragon was released in 2010. The follow-up Heroic Dose was released in 2013. The members are: Tommy Davidson (drums); Sam Pryor (guitar, vocals); Ian Thirkill (bass); and Johnny Farrell (sax, Moog).
