MY BELOVED

My Beloved biography
Danish band MY BELOVED was formed in 1997 by Iver Ask Overgaard (guitars, keyboards), Danny Søndergaard (drums), Jannick Hartung (guitars), Lars Kivig (keyboards) and Zani Talevski (bass). They released an initial demo in 2000, which was followed by a second demo in 2001. Hartung left the band following this, but My Beloved continued on as a quartet with "Servant of Secret Places" from 2003 as their first official release. Talveski left the band afterwards, replaced by Peter Lopes for the 2005 album "On Happiness Hill". Three years later "Force Feeding Love" saw the light of day and in 2012 "Soil" followed, the band's most recent production to date.

My Beloved define their music as "instrumental music noir", and can de described as a dark and emotionally laden brand of post rock that should find favour amongst fans of bands such as Mogwai and GYBE!
