Japanese band SPEAKER GAIN TEARDROP was formed in 1999, and released the demo "Pick Away My No(i)se" the same year. The following year theis official debut "Vertigo Monophonic" appeared, and in 2001 a split album with Web saw the light of day. Their official sophomore standalone production "Randomize Scape" was released in 2004, and in 2008 their album "Particle Protocol" followed. The threesome's fourth and most recent CD is "Rendering Encryption" from 2012.

Speaker Gain Teardrop states that artists like Sigur Ros, Mogwai and Mum are considerd by them as influential.
