Pele biography
US band PELE was formed in the summer of 1997 by Chris Rosenau, Scott Schoenbeck and Jon Mueller, Scott Beschta added to the line-up shortly after the formation. The foursome released their debut album "Teaching the History of Teaching Geography" the following year, alongside the remix companian disc "People Living With Animals. Animals Kill People", but band progress halted as Schoenbeck and Beschta left the band shortly afterwards. Matt Tennessen was recruited as the new guy in, and Pele continued on as a trio from that point.

The threesome recorded and released "Elephant" in 1999, and their fourth production "The Nudes" followed in 2000. In 2002 Pele went from a trio to a quartet with the addition of Jon Minor for the creation and release of their fifth album "Enemies". This would also be their final one, as Pele called it a day following a tour in 2004.

Pele's brand of subtly jazz-tinged post rock have earned them comparisons to artists such as Karate and The Sea And Cake.
