Wanzwa biography
WANZWA is an experimental music project from West Georgia. The lineup is comprised of multi-instrumentalist Marty EASON and drummer Russell RICHARDSON who lunched the band on December 5th, 2011. The duo released their debut album "Wanzwa" on December 6th, 2011, featuring a mix of technical instrumental metal that would be highly appreciated by fans of bands like PERIPHERY and MESHUGGAH.

February 2012 saw the release of "The Boogieman" EP which progressed their sound by mixing sounds of jazz and oriental influences into their established technical instrumental metal. The EP was soon followed up by their sophomore album "Wanzwa II", released May 2012. The sound of their second album was slightly less extreme, featuring fewer but much long compositions with a lot of twist and turns within each track.

The band released "Wanzwa III" on June 1st, 2013, featuring a return to the shorter song format with experimental metal tendencies. WANZWA have definitely come a long way, considering their short but impressive track record and the fact that, as the duo describes it, they live "in the middle of nowhere where if it ain't Skynyrd, it ain't Music".
