Mind:Soul biography
Hailing from Amersfoort, Leiden & Hilversum (The Netherlands), MIND:SOUL is a progressive metal band featuring strong technicality, accomplished clean singing and some flirtations with extreme elements as well as forays into other music genres. Some hyper tempos and growls add variation to their style, combining aspects of acts such as DREAM THEATER with the eccentric approach of Devin TOWNSEND. Beginning in 2010, the band has undergone numerous lineup changes and currently features Inca CESAR on drums, Joey KLERKX on bass and ''grunts'', Musfik CAN MUFTUOGLU and Stefen VAN LEEUWENSTIJN on guitars, and Tom de WIT on lead vocals. So far the band has released two EPs, ''Patterns'' from 2011 and ''Patterns 1.5'' from 2012, a split DVD with INSOLITVS, INSIDIAE and DIMAEON (''Breaking the Layers 2012''), and a full length release from 2013 entitled ''The Way It Should Be''.
