Sweet Hole biography
From Seville, Spain, the band was founded by Miguel DURAN (guitar), Carlos DURAN (bass), and Eduardo LOPEZ (drums). Subsequently, Javier BARRANTES (keyboards) and Javier CARRASCO (vocals) joined. LOPEZ and DURAN shared a musical interest for the Progressive Rock symphonic music of the 70's. The band was also inspired by bands like DEEP PURPLE, LED ZEPPELIN and DREAM THEATER. The name Sweet Hole came to express the contrasts in each songs with the melody (Sweet) and the Rock element (Hole). In 2009, Javier had to leave the band, David ALAJO was called to replace him on keyboards. But in 2011, the sudden death of drummer Eduardo change the future for the band as they keep going by paying tribute to him in their concerts. David CARRASCO, brother of the lead singer Javier took the drum position. In 2011, they released their first EP "Riddle of Mind". In 2013, the band played some tribute concerts to KING CRIMSON, PINK FLOYD, CAMEL etc. The band has been very active in the live scene of Spain and have seduce the public with their blend of Progressive Hard Rock and Symphonic. They have released their first full album "Retrospective" in 2014. They are working on their third album, produced by the great drummer of THE STORM, Diego Ruiz Geniz.
