Dextro biography
DEXTRO is an atmospheric post rock project formed in 2001 in the United Kingdom by multi-instrumentalist Ewan MACKENZIE. MACKENZIE had a penchant for experiment, ambient, psychedelic, and electronic rock, and DEXTRO became his outlet for the production of his music. His first album, Cymbalic, was released in 2002. The album defined the style of most of his albums, as MACKENZIE formed peaceful and spacey soundscapes in the post rock style. He followed Cymbalic with the Animism EP in 2004, which was much the same style. The Hearts and Minds EP came in 2007, followed by his second full-length album, Consequence Music, the same year. Winded, his next full-length, was released in 2009, and his next EP, Zero Circe, came in 2010.

DEXTRO has not been quite as active in recent years, but he still actively produces singles and videos periodically on his website.
