MUDY ON THE SAKUBAN is a Japanese math rock band formed in 2006 in Nagoya, Japan by guitarists Furusawa HIROKAZU, Forest WATIFO, and Yamakawa YOHEI, bassist Magnolia YUKI, and drummer Ito KOHEI. The instrumental band quickly became active in the budding Japanese math rock band, and released their first EP, VOI, on Reverberation Records in 2008. The band extensively toured in the support of the EP, opening for a number of popular acts in Japan.

The band quickly returned to the studio to release their second EP, Kidnie, in 2009. After another very successful tour of Japan, the band recorded their first full-length album, Pavillion, in 2010. The band appeared at a number of festivals and again toured the country, expanding their listener base. The band's second album, Mudy in Squall, was released after they returned to the studio in 2011. Following their trend, they toured in support of the album, and then released a third EP, Zyacalandra, in 2012.

The band's style can best be described as an energetic blend of math rock. Fans of energetic math rock, especially the blend that emerges from the Japanese scene, will enjoy the music of MUDY ON THE SAKUBON
