SYK biography
Italy based act SYK are an avantgarde extreme metal/grind act featuring harsh female vocals and a highly eclectic style to their music. The concept of this band came to fruition during January 2014 with guitarist Stefano FERRIAN and drummer Federico De Bernardi di VALSERRA (former members of avant-noise band PSYCHOFAGIST) collaborating with vocalist Dalila KAYROS. Adding bassist Luca PISSAVINI completed the lineup and in May of 2014 the band released the full-length Atoma, featuring their quirky style of avant-grind which includes unusual sound effects and complex time signatures. The band has since toured with a variety of acts including GODFLESH and GIGAN, and, courtesy of Dalila, synthesizers have been added to their music as well.
