Hintergedanken for Krautrock

   Hintergedanken are a mysterious self-described "psych/prog/kraut" trio from Madison, Wisconsin. They consist of Clay Ruby (formerly of Davenport), Tony Ennis (aka Endless/Pan to Scratch, also ex-Davenport) and Karen Eliot (of Mumber Toes), accompanied by numerous musicians from the kraut/folk collective Second Family Band (of which all three are also members). Their self-titled debut CD was released on Madison label Barbarian Records in 2007, and a second album of lost and unreleased tracks followed up in 2015, issued digitally on Backbacon Records' Bandcamp.

Hintergedanken have been compared to Cosmic Jokers, Nurse With Wound, Faust, Neu!, Guru Guru, Golem and Ash Ra Tempel.
