The beginnings of T.A.P go back to 2012 when Michael Jobborn assisted Gayle Ellett with some promotion for his Djam Karet band. This brought Michael into contact with Mark Cook when Gayle asked Michael to help Mark Cook with promoting his Herd of Instinct band.
This lead to Michael asking if Mark would work with him on his own music, which started the ball rolling towards the music now being released.

Around the latter half of 2019, through an online radio station chat-room meeting with Suzi James, Michael helped promote the band Fearful Symmetry's debut album, which Suzi co-founded. Suzi was the next musician recruited into the fold.

Then 'the Covid years' happened...

In 2022 it all sparked back into life, and Gayle Ellett was called upon to input his particular skills, and later, drummers Paul Sears and Bill Bachman added some finishing touches to a couple of tracks.

The collective name for the project is T.A.P - but no-one will give a
straight answer to what it means - it's whatever you want it to be.
Maybe it's because all the contributors 'tap' something - drums,
keyboards (musical and computer), and the frets of various stringed instruments. https://tapprog.com

This album has been very well received by those that have heard it so far. Steve Lazland reviewed it in some detail earlier on this week at his lazland.org website.

It's an internal collaborator chart on a website loaned to them by another collaborator. Members of the forum are unable to view, I believe, unless they have site permissions. It merely records the votes yay and nay.
Enhance your life. Get down to www.lazland.org

Now also broadcasting on www.progzilla.com Every Saturday, 4.00 p.m. UK time!

The Eclectic team used to track their evaluations via their team thread in an area of the Progarchives forum known as the Collab Zone. This area is hidden to members of the site with less than four stars against their avatar, so is out of bounds for most of us. However they have recently started using an area of another site called AwesomeProg, which belongs to a long-time member of Progarchives, and though the Progarchives genre charts weren't accessible to anyone who wasn't a member of an evaluation team following the site's redevelopment from its previous incarnation (when it was known as Progfreak), the site's owner has done some more work on it recently, and I think the charts can now be viewed by just about anyone. I can certainly see the charts myself - even when I'm not logged in to my account there - so I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to do so as well. Here is the link anyway, see how you get on with it: https://awesomeprog.com/pa/chart/eclectic_prog. Only one team member out of four has voted so far, but you'll be pleased to know it's a 'Yes' vote. Smile
