I am a bit amazed that the band Current 93 is not here on progarchives.
I admit their music is all over the place, and much of it would not pass as progressive rock. Than again much would readily fit the Avant/RIO category.

Thanks for the interest, DamoXt7942!
Spotify has lots of Current 93, but I don't know if this site is available outside Europe.
Seems to be a Myspace site though, with some samples:
Is said before, do not draw conclusions about the band too early, their are really have a split personality regarding their music, it goes from very soft to extremely noisy :)

Yeah. They are.
Definitely not avant-progressive.

They could be considered acid folk, although David Tibet is a bit of a genre hopper at the best of times and Current 93 albums are often found in the 'Industrial' section of music shops. Anyway, they are definitely not RIO/Avant and in my opinion not really suitable for inclusion on Progarchives at all. If anybody is curious, there was a good double CD a few years ago called Judas as Black Moth which gives a fair overview of their output, and if you fancy diving right in then Theinmost Light trilogy is definitely worth checking out.

Yeah, you might be right, Syzygy, that they doen't really belong at PA. The do not really fit a category here too well. Still intersting stuff, though.

Very interesting music, definitely not avant-prog. I wouldn't oppose to their addition, but I don't know what PA category would fit their style. Maybe Eclectic, Crossover or Prog-Related if a Special Collab wants to promote their case.
