Hi, I would like to bring your attention to a new band, named Sour Orange, although from Surrey, there sound is very much 'Canterbury' with hints of German 'kraut-rock' and some 60s groove. They recently release an album entitled 'But it Was' which was recently featured in the prog-psych magazine 'Shindig' (The Soft Machine issue) and were described to sound like Soft Machine, Hatfield and the North and late Miles Davis.
One can buy it on Cd baby, itunes or amazon MP3 or on vinyl at The Rock Box. There is a informative description of the album at cd baby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sourorange2 the myspace is here: http://www.myspace.com/sourorangeband Hope it is added, i know the guitarist and synthesizer player are frequent visitors to this website. |

Sounds more jazz than prog to my opinion but they could fit in the Jazz-Rock section.

possibly, but with tracks like 'pyramids' and 'enigma' they might even placed under psychedelic / space rock.

Indeed it sounds like psychedelic jazz-rock, which should mean Canterbury but it isn't quite that. I'll ask the Jazz-Rock/Fusion to evaluate this suggestion.
