Five tracks, four in PA, one not (the Pram) from 1995 albums. One can hope that this will be my last poll for a while. I'm procrastinating and should be working, but I'm running on empty when it comes to both willpower and brainpower.

I thought this might provide some interesting variety. Feel free to vote without listening through all of them (it goes outside my wheelhouse with Blind Guardian and Jon Anderson).

Anderson, Jon - Prayersong

Art Zoyd - Gates of Darkness I

Blind Guardian - Imaginations from the Other Side

Non Credo - Miliza Three Flights Down

Pram - Sea Swells and Distant Squalls

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Definitely Gates. Probably my favorite AZ song.

^ Thanks -- two significantly stylistically different tracks. I rather hope someone says something like, "It's between the Jon Anderson and Non Credo works" as those two present such huge contrast to me. Not that it would be really odd for someone to enjoy both, but it makes for an unusual pairing.

Miliza Three Flights Down is not excacly the track I would play if I was trying to get someone into one of my dearest "contemporary progbands" Non Credo (I'd probably go for the the title track - or Piano Urine if it has to last for about seven minutes), but it works perfectly within the album context.

That Pram-song was really beautiful though, and would maybe have gotten my vote anyway - which it did.

Sometimes throwing people off a kind of deep-end is the way to go, but I maybe I should have gone with "Piano Urine" (a title to intrigue). Or going different/ out there to put it differently, as I found in the Interactive Polls.

I love "Miliza..." within the context of the album. I was going to do the title track, and then changed my mind before posting thinking some of our more eccentric-minded, tinpot-wearing PA posters might appreciate it (but there aren't as many active as there were in the fora). "Piano urine" would have been lovely for the bedpan-wearing ones.

I had felt that included that and the New Agey Jon Anderson piece would present some interesting contrast to those who listened through the choices (I had not heard that Anderson or Blind Guardian one before making this poll).

Glad you appreciate that Pram. I lovely its sort of aquatic tropica boozy-woozy qualities. It reminds me of The Residents in part.
