A (now monthly) shuffle of my digital library of about 14000 tracks placed the following songs on top.
I usually go with 5, but reduced to 4 this time; all great selections of bands included on PA!

You're like most people I think (there was a poll not too long ago about random vs. album listening).  As for myself, I listen random all the time and usually love it.  Often it will lead to listening of a full album--usually something I haven't heard in a long time.

I could listen to a playlist of various artists only if they belong to the same or similar genres, a jump from a classic prog to a metal song to a jazzy song to a pop song would confuse me terribly I think. LOL

I guess ELP
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Made me wish that Carl had done more on tuned percussion like Pierre Moerlen did.

Well, I guess I just have a naturally confused brain  Wacko.

Seriously, though, I do skip sometimes, but since most of my collection is prog (followed by jazz/classical), I usually note a lot of similaities while listening.

Slept on it: decided I preferred Decemberists: excellent melancholic ballad! Followed by Wakeman (a better album than you might think).

I like the Oceansize tune, but still not knowing much about them, it sounds a bit Radiohead-wanna-be-ish.  Palmer is a nice remake of Bach (that I used to play), but not a particularly notable track for me.

"Women Who Love Men Who Love Drugs" is one of my favorite songs of the 2000s!

My post was not a reproach on the poll or your listening habits, just me saying I cannot listen to songs so randomly. Smile
