I shall. I think it's a case of 'aimless listening' on my part - there's plenty of stuff I like that took a while to get into or appreciate, but usually I sort of know what I'm listening for, or I have a sense of what's in there waiting for me if I give it enough time. I don't really feel like that though with these here Sock Fetishists*... hmm, more listening tomorrow...!

Oh, I know you'll keep trying, and I respect that. You may like it alot more soon, maybe it'll take a while to click, or maybe you never will like it. It doesn't matter, everyone's tastes are different.

I believe in miracles, where you from? You sexy thing, you sexy thing you... That's why Western Culture should work for you better, 'cause it's not sock-related. Plus it's their best album. Edit: my dissertation for University was supposed to be 10,000 words... I managed about 6,000 but what I said covered everything I needed to, so I passed. A 13,000 word novel though is a piece of yellowy-brown liquid.

I will too. It will only be a matter of time before they're 2nd on that list.

Hey Alex, what's up?

Hey, Pat! Not much. Worked on my tax thesis a bit earlier, but I need to clear my mind of it for another day or two before I work on it again. I've been relaxing for a while now and thought I'd see if anyone's on here. Then I may go exercise bike, play a video game or two, and then drum. Not entirely sure yet.
Oh, and our band's album is done! x1000
I'm excited that it's finally done and now I can work more on the second one. The second one shouldn't take near as long to finish up since I already have a substantial amount done. I spent nearly 2 hours last night though reading up on copyrighting and trademarks. I'll have to figure all of that out soon before I even think about putting the downloads on our website for free download.
How about you?
|
Can't wait to hear the album. Not much here, working, same old crap. It's depressing to leave work in the dark, but whatever.
|
I was afraid to listen to it the other night because I thought I'd end up being really critical of it... but I actually am satisfied with it and wouldn't change anything. I'm even more excited about the next one though and I can tell my songwriting has heavily improved already. I also don't intend on remaining stagnant with my sound at all; there could be decent changes in sound from album to album because I treat each one separately. The first one is/will be our most ambient, I know that much. I like how it gets dark early near the winter time, actually. But I'm weird.
