My favourite has always been the joyous pop tune It's Raining Again
Although the outro part of the Crime Of The Century track always mesmerizes me ...
|
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.” "No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

I remember hearing Dreamer as a young child and hating it. It wasn't until recently that i discovered it was Supertramp. That damn song has haunted me for years.

"Aubade (And I Am Not Like Other Birds of Prey)" and "Words Unspoken" from the debut LP....oooh, add Maybe I'm a Beggar.....hell, just take the whole first album!
"School" from Crime of the Century
"Give a Little Bit" and "Babaji" from Even in the Quietest.......add "Fool's Overture" as well

I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

My sentimental favorite is "Hide in Your Shell" from COTC. Second would probably be "Cannonball," from BWYB. Then maybe "Child of Vision" from BIA.
But there are so many great ones, it's hard to choose.

"Crime of the Century" or "if everyone was listening"
two tracks from one of the best albums ever made. Does anyone else find that anything else they ever created strongly pales in comparrison to Crime? I mean, up until after BIA its all good, but even though i love the band, none of their other albums strike me as superb.

Tough Question!!! so many are so good...
I would take: 'Fools overture', 'Crime of the century '(Paris version) and 'Child of vision'...
What incredible songwriters they were..
