Interesting development, it looks like Ferrari are offering Kubica the use of a 2010 car when he's ready to come back to testing. I think Massa's days are numbered.
And it looks like the Texas race next year may not happen.

So would I, actually. I much prefer Button to Hamilton. Brian, I may have cheered when he went out but I wasn't the one who jumped off the chair and ran to the screen and shouted at it loudly! My mate hates him more than I do.

^Though I've definitely got a bias for JB, I'm happy as long as its a good race.

Kubica's keeping quite on his recovery until he can say for certain when he'll be back. From what I've heard though is that he's had a few setbacks over the year. June was a bad month and killed off all talk of a return for Brazil, but all went well after that. It appears that the only thing that really needs to recover is the dexterity in his right hand, which is very important for driving an F1 car. Unfortunatly that seems to be going slower than originally expected as they'd hopped to get him in the simulator (a far more physical experiance thanks to the actuators than you'd expect) by the end of October, then end of November. There's no word on when he will get in to the sim, but Renault have the 09 car ready for him to test as much as he'd like when he's ready.
Its thought that Lotus, as Renault will be next year, will start the season with Petrov and Grosjean and that Kubica will take over from Grosjean at some point during the season. Senna is thought to be looking for a seat elswhere as he's not keen on only a part season.

Other way round for me of course. Though I'd prefer Alonso over any of em Anyone heard any word on Kubica? I assume he'll be back next year and I can't wait Have to worry about suffering such an injury, sometimes a racecar drive is never the same. Though some can bounce back to form perfectly. Hope he's the latter.

I know I was TOTALLY surprised to hear you cheering loudly when Vettel crashed out. For you, this was like saying, "I am breathing" it just doesn't even need to be said man, we could've guessed

So I'm predictably British because I wanted a British person to win?

You are right though, 92 was without Prost and Piquet, and Williams was untouchable so he did have a bit of an easy year.

Yeah, Prost got booted out by Ferrari at the end of 91, though given how bad that years car was I doubt he was upset about it, and Piquet was effectively forced into retirement when Schumcher anhilated him in their 5 or so races together, he was passed it and Senna could only get close in qually.

Doesn't mean diddly in the big picture of course. Also Vettel can now only get 12 wins and not tie Schumi's record of 13. Though I do believe he will (if he hasn't already) beat Mansell's record for most laps led in a season.
Kinda crazy it stood till now, with how many races there are and he did it in 16.
|
He passed Mansells record of most laps led in India (he's up to 1004 now), and passed Mansell's poll record as well this weekend. Of course, the Williams FW14B was 2 seconds a lap faster than anything else all year and Patrese was no threat to him, so the surprise is that Schumacher never passed those records in his Ferrari.

Indeed. I cheered rather loudly when Vettel went off and then promptly retired. Haha.
Excellent win for Hamilton though. He'll be pleased with that one.
