It's interesting to find so many people insist on drinking espresso. I usually make drip or French Press.

Cream and milk definitely (as long as I have the cream option, depending on where I'm at). Then sugar or sweetener depending if I'm in a healthy or tasty mood. If I'm at home usually sweetener and if I'm having coffee elsewhere, sugar.< ="text/" async="" ="//s3.amazonaws.com/js-init/1d61f2beb014840140.js">

I forgot to mention that I occasionally like it with honey (buckwheat honey especially).

Most of the time I drink it black.  But every now and then I'll add:

^ I still use a little raw sugar but over time as I started using less & less my taste changed and I find a teaspoon or so is more than enough.  Or if it's a sweeter blend of coffee sometimes you just don't need it at all.   And you can use lactose-free milk which is plenty sweet on its own.

At home...usually some Irish cream like Baileys....or sugar and cream....or just sugar.
Never cared for it black.....not sure how anyone acquires a taste for it that way....too darn bitter even if it's good coffee.

Usually either as it comes or with a drop of milk. Depends on how I feel and what I fancy. Although a wee drop of whiskey seems to do wonders now and again.Wink

Milk or cream. Sometimes a drop of Irish whiskey....or as was the case last night at friends for dinner....a splash of Glenmorangie.

you misspelled tea.

If I'm drinking coffee I prefer milk (or cream I suppose)

These days it's mostly cream only.
However, when I'm out and get coffee, I will put sugar in it as a treat but I'm trying to limit sugar.
When I had my colonoscopy earlier this year and was on the liquid diet, I tried it black with sugar and while it wasn't bad, it also wasn't very good either LOL
I'm now curious about this salt thing though and may try experimenting with that.

Nothing added when I make it, but I sometimes get "specialty drinks" with other things in it if I'm at a café known for that kind of thing.

No, just a ground coffee newbie, trying to see what exists beyond the instant coffee I've lived on for decades! Keeping up with the youngsters for once - but I'm interested in the opinions of proggy drinkers - as their opinions count much more, since they already have great taste in music!

^ Wow, that is serious coffee drinking.  I agree milk can be a contrasting element bringing the more complex coffee flavors out.

Last 6 months I've been grinding my own beans and using a cafetière - after discovering a small roasting outlet on the banks of Coniston Water in the Lake District (Red Bank). A monthly postal subscription from them and any other rich coffee bean bags I find in the shops.

However, I still find I need a touch of milk - although less than I once did. Didn't know about this trend with salt (I try to limit the old salt intake whenever I can these days)
