All time: Yes Genesis Sting
Last year I listened a lot to: Camel Caravan Pink Floyd
Well, not a very wild and innovating list, but after years of discovering I'm listening more to some classic bands, which don't get boring.

My all-time top three would be Dream Theater, Symphony X and Savatage.
I can't really list a top three of the moment because it's always different, but at the moment I am REALLY digging Glass Hammer.
I've had some of their albums for a while and not paid too much attention to them, but I've been giving them a few more spins lately and really like what I'm hearing. In particular, the album "Shadowlands" is absolutely fantastic. |
Nice all-time top three! I approve!

Meshuggah
Porcupine Tree
Those 2 hasn't changed in like 1 year, but the third one keeps changing. Right now it's Tool, Radiohead or Pendragon (I'm not really sure)

Love Porcupine Tree too. The DVD Arriving Somewhere... is awesome concert. Tell me, what do you think of new one, The Incident, - I am yet to get it - is it as good as Deadwing (my fave) or In Absentia ( my second fave)?
how does it rate with super fans? |
It's a pretty good album, but I don't think it compares to the perfect trifecta of In Absentia, Deadwing and Fear of a Blank Planet. It's their most mature work by far, and it contains some really neat elements, but after around 12-15 listens it doesn't seem to have that repeatability that their previous albums had, except for Time Flies, which is an amazing track. It definitely could have been better, I just think SW and Co. tried to outdo themselves.

I wouldn't say I'm a "super fan" but I own all their albums and live albums, and I'd say its good but not great. Right now, its about a 4/5.

Presently:-
1. Boards Of Canada
2. Plaid
3. The Flower Kings
These are the three most played on my mp3 in the last month, in that order. 4th, Dream Theater is some considerable way behind......

Yes, sir! I could also add the Ian Gillan Band, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and even Brand X to the list, but the rule is just 3 You, on the other hand, are in quite the polar opposite, aren't you?
