^I think I should clarify what I meant in that it was a great race with lots of action and passing between the top 6 cars, something that we never seem to get that much of.

I've been following this sport closely since 1998 and its by far the best year I've seen with lots of close racing and unpredicable races. Even the worst race of the year, Valencia, would have been OK buy the standerds of most previous years.

What, Button is good and so is McLaren, didn't say it sucked. Just not very spectacular, nor were most of the results.

You god damn Brits need to chill out if I don't praise Hami and Button every moment!

Erm, what?

Button won!

That was a spectacular result for me.  Not sure what happened to Sutil at the start... he went from 8th to 17th in less than a lap!

Not good though either, as Vettel still increases his lead. Cry

Also seeing Schumacher lead the race for half a lap was amusing.

I concure with James on all points, especially the "Erm, what?" part.Wink

Sauber needs to pit their drivers more. Seriously.

Also, Hamilton. ha ha.

This was kinda scary

Shame about Hamilton.  Firstly the wrong tire choice and then the drive-through penalty than probably shouldn't have been... still, good result really.

Also excellent result for Di Resta.

Bit of a scary incident with Heidfeld though... what is with fires and the Renault Lotus' this year?

The radiators (I guess) exploding aftwards got my attention. Having said that, it was the fastest Heidfeld moved all race!LOL

Great race from Jenson, and the best part is he wouldnt have needed the rain to win as he was making his tyres last much longer than Hamilton and being much faster at the end of a stint, I hink he would have got him anyway, and what a way to celebrate your 200th GP.

2nd straight qualifying I missed! Work has filled my mind with less important things than F1!
But shan't miss the race.

Perez is of course on a mid pack team, but he seems quite talented. Can always grab a few.

I'd really like to see Ricciardo in the HRT get a point LOL Though that'd require the whole field wrecking so maybe not!

I'm not actually that fussed about all the pontificating.  I just want to see the race.

This is why f**k-ustone is completely talking out of his arse when he says Sky will give us better coverage.

They won't.

"The extent of the collaboration between BBC and Sky on the production of the coverage is also becoming clearer. The commentary will be shared between both programmes, but the presentation teams will be different. The BBC is likely to have limited presentation as they will want to get quickly into the race highlights action at the start of the show and then there will be some analysis afterwards."

I'm hoping they keep Brundle and DC.

he looks like a such a douche at the end.LOL

Surely Sky will have their own commentary team?

As long as they keep Brundle and DC as commentators, I don't care.

Exactly.

I think my mate has Virgin... not sure.  I usually go over his house for the European races (didn't last week, may do Sunday though) and we watch it on HD and not always live, as he sometimes rewinds... which is a tad annoying!

I will miss that.

And why Monaco as being shown on the BBC?  That's a terribly boring race nowadays.  Knowing the BBC, they'll show the boring Canadian GP over somewhere more exciting like Spa.

Subscription rather than pay-per-view. I already have Sky, and for the slightly more than basic package plus the movie channels I pay just short of £40 a month, which is about £480 a year. I cannot afford the extra £20 a month needed for the sports package of which I would only need to watch 10 races and have no use for it in December, January and Febuary (and probably March and August as well if the BBC get the season opener and Spa to show as well as Monaco, Silverstone and the season finale).

I wouldnt cross over the road to spit on Murdoch, the loathsome little sh*t that he is, and I was already considering getting rid of Sky as it was (because its too expensive and because I really dont like the Murdochs), I really dont want to give them more money.

Yep.  He has.  The stupid idiot.

Why?!

Grrr.

More money, of course.  Not for freedom of choice.

Even if you have Sky, they're pay-per-view aren't they?

Hamilton fastest in both practice sessions today, Sauber have resigned both drivers for next year, Turkey will be dropped from next years schedule and the US GP is going to be one of the last races of the year next November, samwiched between Bahrain (Nov 4th) and Brazil.

Oh, and the real kicker. Sky and the BBC have done a deal to share coverage of F1 from next season until 2018. We get 10 races on the BBC and Sky covers everything. Congratulations Bernie, you've just f**ked the sport.Angry
