Oh sh*t! I didn't know (I havn't watched any TV or been online yet)
Oh Favre.......As good as you still are I think it is about time to hand over the reigns.

Oh, and Rileydog..... yea I think the G-men are pretty safe at corner to be honest. Both safeties are qre questionable though.

And I hear Asante Samuel finally left the pats...for the Eagles!

It must be a very DARK day for Packer fans......

I think it's the right call though.

Ross and Madison are fine, especially since Ross is only gonna get better.  And there is that other position in the secondary, you know, strong safety....

I'm telling you Dan Connor man....
As for the Secondary if they can't get anyone through the draft or free agency we might have to rely on our current secondary...... There's Aaron Ross and Sam Madison but RW McQuarters, James Butler, and Michael Johnson??? Ermm

The Chiefs trimmed a lot of old fat with Kennison, Kendrell Bell and Ty Law this week. I think they cut Welbourne, too. Signed 27 year old Demorrio Willams from Atlanta today. It may be some lean seasons ahead, but it never hurts to go young.

Very glad Dallas kept Flozell Adams around and made it hard for another team to get hold of Marian Barber.  Need a strong draft in the secondary and I'm just hoping Jones doesn't screw it up by trying to get fancy or slick with the two frist round picks.

Well, guess we can look foward to the offseason and draft.
I hear Asante Samuel has gone to the Eagles and the G-men have lost Mitchell and Gibril Wilson Cry
Those are 2 important ones but I am really really hoping they draft Dan Connor out of Penn State

Exactly....Shockey would get a lot.
Hmm, I don't know if trading him would really be such a bad idea.

Hm....I think that's partially true.
Well, hopefully he stays on the team and Eli will know better than trying to force it to Shockey.

A lot of people are saying can him for Kevin Boss.
Boss has played well, and Shockey does like to run his mouth, but I don't know if they should get rid of him yet.

Theory about Manning's late season performance - Shockey was really his favorite receiver and he would often look and throw to him when it wasn't appropriate, resulting in turnovers quite often.  With Shockey out, Manning was "forced" to spread the ball around more and wasn't dialed into any one guy.  That said, Shockey is just too talented to ditch although Boss filled in admirably.

I really like Shockey, but I really like Boss as well.  If I was GM and I got a good offer for Shockey, I'd trade him in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't get rid of him simply for the sake of getting rid of him, though.  He's an incredible tight end and he really has been acting well (or tolerably well anyway) this year.

Puts you in a win-win   situation

And does anyone know if nfl.com keeps a video archive? I can't find 2 plays I really want on youtube (and will probably be taken down anyway)

I hope Indy and San Diego have like 14-2 or 15-1 seasons next year, and we're totally under the radar....those are the teams that seem to win Super Bowls as of late...Wink
