Ugh, if Shreddies didn't taste of pre-digested cardboard, then perhaps. Let's have porridge instead. It's a cold morning, we can allow ourselves to put whisky and sugar on it. A much more glowy effect than Readybrek! (Perhaps best suited to non-drivers, though...)

Niacin (b3) is one of the few vitamins not in cornflakes, you'll be needing a whole-grain cereal for that
Then, I would have thought the preferred brekkie here would be....
(which does contain Niacin )

Davidbirdwithteeth, your eyes are too young for this room full of alcohol and... oldness, get out, you're not even legally able to drink yet
I always start to feel very old in the SR when I talk about alcohol since most of the guys in there aren't even legally able to drink yet, so I kinda manage to bridge the gap between there and the Shredroom
Just curious, what does a case of beer go for in the UK and US?

Niacin, eh? Crunchy fusion goodness...? Is that music, or Kellogg's latest cereal? Sounds fun, whichever it is...

That could be Herefordshire, where I live...

Oh and yes, I forgot about DT covering Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'. It had been quite a while since I had spun A Change of Season, and the memory just don't work the way that it used to.

Unfortunately I do eat out way too much and I spend mucho dinero on baseball games and other sporting events; not to mention the occasional concert from time to time. The next big concert is The Who, in 3 weeks. I never had the chance to see them in their hey day, but I did see them a few years ago when they were touring and had Robert Plant opening for them. That was a very enjoyable show.

^^^ you'd forgotten that??
its pretty cool, isn't it?
and I have to say, I agree with all those comments... I'm single, I don't drink much (just an occasional real ale... ), never smoked, never gamlbled...not even once. I don't live near a cinema, rarely eat out, and don't buy many clothes. My money goes on a small handful of things; food, keeping my car on the road, attending the occasional gig, books, and buying Prog & Classical CDs...
anything which doesn't fit into the above categories is a rare exception (my toiletries are often customer leftovers.... hey...don't judge, that's more money for Prog.... )

Wow. Haha. I forgot that DT does a cover of Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' from Journey on A Change of Seasons. That is pretty wild.

It's alright Jared. The suggestions are all good. I justify all of my purchases to myself with the following: Despite the above comments, I very rarely drink, I don't smoke, I don't gamble, and I rarely go to the movies anymore. I'm not into collecting shoes or stamps. CDs on the other hand are an addiction. The good thing about CDs is that once I take a drag on them, or slam them down they are still around to be "dragged on" and "slammed down" for another day. The wallet might think differently, but hey as long as I'm sitting the complaints are muffled.

Voice in the Light is a very good album; quite enjoyable. The Amaseffer album is on "the list". I think my list of wanted albums is longer that Santa's list of naughty and nice boys and girls.

^^ don't like it isn't right. Musically, its actually excellent, but its one of those frustrating albums where the story and concept is of such importance, that it dictates the music to the point that at times it sounds like a movie soundtrack.
by now, I reckon you've come to the conclusion that I don't like concept albums... ...this isn't true; I'm even happy with albums which interpret books, provided the music comes first. an example of where this has been done extremely well imho would be Amaran's Plight: A Voice In The Light... where although the concept progression is crystal clear, the tracks have their own character and autonomy...
having said that, I actually think this album would be just up your street...

I haven't heard the Amaseffer CD yet. I am intrigued by what I have read on it. I gather from the What Are You Listening to Now posts that you don't like it, or is it that it needs to grow on you still.

well, here's a Shed Roomer...who has just stopped by to express his approval of what's coming out of the speakers....
I wholeheartedly approve of your preaching to the masses, Scott...
Incidentally, Amaseffer: Slaves For Life is on, over here....
