Foster isn't bad either. I don't go out of my way to purchase it, but I don't pass it up if someone offers it to me.
I don't usually drink light beer, but I found Foster's Light to be strangely nice for light beerConfused
I honestly don't really recall any Foster's commercials in recent times, but then again I barely watch TV, I'm more of an internet surfer.
Some of the Australian beer commercials would somehow make me feel literally embarrassed after watching them, because they were so cornyLOL
I would always be left thinking "I feel embarrassed for not having left the room while such a corny commercial was on"LOL.

I'm not familiar with the Carlton Draught.  They used to show some pretty funny commercials from Foster's on TV, but I don't think that Ihave seen any in a while and I've never actually drank a Fosters.

We need to talk about the quality of beer in this room.  Stern%20Smile

Well I'm not down with much American beer I'm afraid... I tend almost exclusively drink stuffed brewed in Melbourne, since it's costs less than beer coming in from the states.
I've never actually had Bud, Miller or Coors...indeed, of the 3, the only one I remember seeing around Melbourne is Coors beer.
I'll give it a whirl if I ever remember to drink it when I have a chance next. They don't sell much over here, and most of my friends tend to buy Aus made beer anyway.

Speaking of beer.... I haven't had one since yesterday morning (no NOT THAT TIME of morning, I mean after midnight during a party kind of morning)Tongue.

Not sure if you guys have ever seen this beer (unless perhaps you watch some movies set in MelbourneTonguehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlton_Draught.
Among my favorite beer.
Shame they reduced the alcoholic content in them thoughTongue

I've got a little bit of a set up to have a bit of fun with my Suede Room buddies that keep dropping by.

And yes, Alex, I was busy doing things on my Friday night, hence my absence from PATongue

Let's see, I'm older than Rico, yet he has posted here a few times, I'm older than AlexMovingpics, I'm older than Davidbirdwithteeth, I'm older than YesFanDahlia, Older than all the STC thread former:P members  members:P, older than BJ a.k.a Blowie and a few others

Hell. hell, the only guys older than me are Jaydee (who is pretty much on the right age for this thread anyway)  KoSRicardo, Bern, and Phil (MWH), but I was born in the same year as KoS and Phil.

Since James is 28 and has been posting in the Gray Room/Shed for a few years now because he is only 2 years under the official age, does that mean since I'm now getting old for the SR and I have been legally able to drink alcohol for nearly 2 years now (and indeed I enjoy a nice beer or 5 and/or wine once a weekend or so) that I can be a "kinda, but not quite" member in here?

No, you can't. Tongue

Already took care of that. Wink

The room's pretty empty though, I've been in and out of taking care of it for the past few hours. People are usually out and about doing things in ProgArchivia on Friday nights. Ouch

Have you heard "You" by Gong? That's definitely their best, has the least amount of weirdness (most of the typically weird songs are the shorter ones), and is easily their instrumental best.

I always recommend that one first to a newbie.
