I just arrived at home from my work, it was 1-0 to Japan but after the mistake by the Japanese keeper the Aussies fought back to a 3-1 win, thanks to super subs Cahill and Aloisi, what an excitement, again during the games from small nations !

The forthcoming days we will see how strong Italy, Brasil and France are and how they will deal with the heath and the expextations.
Now Robben is the star, hopefully Van Persie and Van Nistelrooij will join his amazing level! I remain concerned about our defence, almost every attack of Serbia was dangerous but Johan Cruijff (a very good friend of Van Basten) said the defence did well ... ... did he see another match .. ..
By the way, about the cramp of Van Der Sar, it is told that he probably drank too little water so the muscles reacted.

Everybody was positive about the result and emphasized that it great to start with 3 points. Personally I was disappointed about the defensive errors (bad marking), players like Van Persie and Schneijder worked hard but failed to give decisive passes, only Robben was almost brilliant. My conclusion: at this moment were are no more than an outsider, Ivory Coast and Argentina play way more mature and experienced. Perhaps the hot weather was a bit too much for the players, well next Friday Holland plays against Ivory Coast at 1800, then we will see what Holland is worth.
AND NOW FUERZA MEXICO !!!! |
Everybody said hoiw well Argentina played, but in my country(myself included), we know we can do so much better. Messi and Tevez are our best players and were in the bench, so we gain three points, but with mediocre football played by Argentina. Netherland, dont expect this from us, we are way better, so watch out!!! Go Argentina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| Yes, its true...the argentinian team can do better...I have faith in them getting better and better...still, personally I agree with erik, Argentina Ivory Coast (so thats how it is jejej) was the best game till now...

Well Argentina of course...they already started good, beating (uhh Im such an ignorant, I dont know the countrys name Argentina played against yesterday in english) Costa de Marfil (thats in spanish) 2-1. And I do have some hopes that they will make it...but if they dont, I would like to see Netherlands as the winner...they deserve it, always a great team...never a winner...STILL WE WILL KICK YOUR ASS!!! I hope...

Tevez is amazing, but he is not one of those players I'd put out. I prefer the partnership of Saviola and Crespo.

The guy has an average of 1 goal each two matches with Benfica, so he could have given a bit of oxygene to the attack.

18 goals per year, not so impressive in my books for the Portuguese league especially, but still... Then again it was probably a defensive strategy.

It was a wrong tactic IMO, ≒ortugal knowing that Angola is a hard and strong team, jumped to the field with too many revolutions trying to score 2 or 3 times before Angola's physical advantage was determinant.
They burnt themselves too fast and there was not fuel for the second half.

One question:Is Nuno Gomez with the team still? And if he is why he was kept in the bench? |
Bench.
You know, they do have an attacking midfielder called Cristiano Ronaldo

Yea.... You knew Angola couldn't really score..... So..... I guess they decided to knock around the ball.
Damn, I was wrong about Netherlands and Serbia, I thought it was going to be 0-0 or 1-0 Serbia.
