Seems like it's a retaliation review, indeed.

This seems like a politically driven review - admitting you listened to the album exactly once, and clearly through youtube video...this is not what I expect from a reviewer.

I don't give extreme reviews either 5 or 1 without multiple listens and serious consideration...if he doesn't like it fine, but 1 listen is just lazy.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Same guy reviewing Karmakanic's Who's The Boss In The Factory?:

"In fact, I will not only Karmakanic'den. Event Kaipa, The Flower Kings, The Tangent, and to address the need Karmakanic rectangle. Kaipa comes a band called 70 from Sweden. When these friends are starting to do the best for the classic progresif'in and periods are a good place. One of these men, however, especially from inside, strange-haired guitarist Roine Stolt an uncle named, very strange and frightening because it is a potential never stops. Such as the cheeky guitar, found that after all is gone, but I was running from success to success or a strange personality. 80 Kaipa'nın some stopping after the 90's The Flower Kings a band called the temellerininde include these companies and indeed the music world is very good a lot of study undertaken are 99 in this group other dirty bi friends attending it Jonas Reingold called human . Bassıyla fretless and he was stuck on the other end is touching keyboardıyla adds an air of super-group. Here is the friends that have been Karmakanic'e forefoot. Although these men were also included süpergrupta called The Tangent. Flower Kings Adam & Eve's superb album of the patients that we are in the Daniel Gildenlöw. Returning to our subject, The Flower Kings fans will not never drag Karmakanic'e alien. Although each of the groups they are not wrapping it with an extension of the time change and wondering whether you know him do not know the difference, actually. But to me this group much less technical and more appealing to the emotions of a group profile is drawn. this is a good thing, sometimes it is very technical, in fact, that you know is good, but you can not listen to groups can be. . In short, the last album, "Who's the Boss in the Factory?" worth a listen, you get into the general flow is a good album, I say do not miss"

A legend.

Guy "amontes" has serious competitor (possibly still not married though):

"Infinity of Worlds
Lalle Larsson Eclectic Prog

Review by FAB.PROG

Mainstream? do not think so, this is a genre that not is commercial!! I think that many people in ProgArchives do not listen the albums for make a review, this is a very good album, Mr Larsson is one of my favorites keyboard player in the modern progressive rock scene, as in the projects as Ominox, Karmakanic, Agents of Mercy among other projects, but now with Lalle larsson Weaveworld brings Infinity of worlds, an album that I love, Lalle Larsson is a great composer and a virtuoso musician, had long time since who not heard a instrumental good album , this album now is becoming in one of my favorites, my rating is 5! Highly recommended."

No, it's not as simple as that. Don't forget to type the review as fast as is necessary to exceed the 10% chance on misspellings Tongue.

5 stars Although it is not clear for everybody, this is of course a masterpiece. Why not clear for everybody? Well, it has an easy explanation. It is not easy to listen this album many times. At the beginning, you wonder how Gabriel is able to do this music. Then you think that you can not like a music like that. Then, little by little you are discovering that certain tracks you like a lot. At the end you like a lot every track, except maybe one. But if you do not like one track it is still a masterpiece because nothing in this world is perfect. For instance, Growin up. At the beginnin you think that it is like a remix for a disco. Later you take into account that is something very well done. Everything in this album is great, I hope you will discover.

5 stars This is just a fantastic album. The inteplay between the violin and the Guitar is marevellous. The drumer cannot be better. The one who plays the bass is also a really good bass player. The pianist is also a great musician, althogh the piano cannot be here. The first track is really good. Sanctuary is also very good. In some moments a track, I do not remember which, sounds like "Groom" from King Crismson. The album is really a masterpiece and I am very greatful to this page because I discvered it here. I now have the albbum in my car. You will never get slept with this album. Maybe you can drive faster.

5 stars This is of course a masterpiece. When you listen for the first time this album, then you say. Are this King Crimson? Then you say, what are the doing? This is terrible music, how can I like this? Then if you are marry, then your wife says you are crazy, that you cannot put this kind of music. One day you discover that there is some musice in the first track you like. At the end, after some time your wife says that this is a masterpiece. So it is a masterpiece because is able to convince any one it is. Therefore, I give five stars.

Thanks to J-Man for exposing me to this great small piece of PA. LOL

Does someone want to explain the rating system?

  • Average rating: The classic calculation of the average but more weight is affected to the rating of progarchives.com collaborators and to rating with reviews.

    - Rating only: Weight = 1
    - Review by members : Weight = 10
    - Review by PA Collaborators : Weight = 20

    so:

    1 Collaborator review+rating of 2 (x20) = 40

    4 ratings of 4 = 16
    5 ratings of 5 = 25

    For a total of 81

    Average = 81 / (20+9) = 2.793

  • Smile I meant to the guy who posted the review.

Your post contains 26 words - fine enough for a post on the forum, but detailed enough to present a critique of an album? Don't think so, sorry.

Less than four times the post you made is the minimum criteria for a review. It's not really much, is it?

I'll give you an example. I've just posted a (for me) short review of Pineapple Thief's new album. On your criteria, it would have looked like this:

"I think the album is not prog, very poor, and too much like Radiohead".

If we allowed reviews of less than 100 words, believe me, many reviews would look exactly like this. Don't forget, many artists and professional media types visit our site. As far as the artists are concerned, if there is a critique, they at least deserve the respect and consideration of a thoughtful one. So, BTW, do visitors outside the industry.
