Voyage of the Acolyte for me. Fish out of Water has some songs I like, but in general I enjoy more Acolyte as a whole (there's something on the Atmosphere depicted on Fish out of Water that puts me off), and Acolyte's got the song I absolutley enjoy the most on both albums: Shadow of the Hierophant.

there will be no sitting on the fence in a couple of weeks when these two albums (most likely) will meet in the 3rd round of the album tournament. No 3rd 'both' options.. that is for wimps and the intellectually confused. It is not hard.. pick the one album that has the best music.. the more accomplished song writer.. best prog bassist ever.. 2nd best prog drummer ever.. a freakishly talented keyboardist.. and sublime orchestral arrangements.

not hard at all actually..

Bought both at time of release and still have the vinyl. Spin them very occassionally but both are present on my iBasso as FLAC rips and I have listened to both recently. Would rate both as strong 4's and sit on the fence with a both vote.

Given the option, I vote for both: excellent albums all around and every progger should have them.

My favorite solo albums from the Yes and Genesis stable - I agree with many in that it's a tough choice, but I've gotta go with Voyage.....Hackett to bits!

The best solo albums from individual Yes and Genesis members.
The edge goes to Chris Squire.

I'm 100% for Squire
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Tough.

Probably Voyage.

LOLI really should re-visit Squire's album it's been soooo long. It's rare for me to be able to get into the albums of solo artists for some reason. Hackett's is one exception although i'm sure there's others. Peter Hammill comes to mind. Even Peter Gabriel who i'm such a big fan of for his work with Genesis does little for me as a solo artist other than several songs. Wyatt's another solo artist I really appreciate.
