Every album of theirs has music I love, but less so on some albums than others. Pablo Honey is low-rated at rateyourmusic and ProgArchives. Other than I knew "Creep", I avoided that album for some time, but I love "Blow Out" on it.

I'm a big fan of their work from OK Computer to Hail to the Thief, and Moon Shaped Pool is also quite good (I think I'd rank it 5 in their discography). I have started to listen to The Smile this year but I'm not yet fully sold on them. Some highlights are there, but much material hasn't clicked yet. Overall anyway I think Radiohead are both really good and really important, so count me in as a fan.

I enjoy listening to The Bends. Once a year or so, whether I need to or not. I haven't got too worked up over their other albums. I have OK Computer in my collection somewhere, but it didn't grab me like The Bends

Awesome, I feel the same way about those albums. If you haven't already, I recommend checking out The Smile, which have two albums, A Light for Attracting Attention (2022) and Wall of Eyes (2024). It's very much Radiohead-related with Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.

Thems is next.

My top three Radiohead albums too and I will be checking out The Smile eventually. Fascinated that Thom has a Jazz drummer on this project.

Their 3 album run The Bends to Kid A is pretty remarkable. I also like In Rainbows a lot. Not a band for a pick me up it has to be said. I'll always respect them and they got people talking about prog again after OK Computer.

Radiohead is probably the closest I got to having a The Beatles or a Pink Floyd-band in my life. As in being "my band" that I sort of followed from the very start and matured together along with. Much like the band themselves I've outgrown Pablo Honey and The Bends (the latter album is still very good, solid - but it doesn't exite me in the same way as everything that came after). I'm as big of a fan as ever of anything post their first two - including every B-side, bonus discs etc... Albums and songs I didn't think of as all that while brand new gets better with each new listen.
-I now think "A Moon Shaped Pool" is up there with "Kid A" and "In Rainbows". Love "Amnesiac" just as much, but I wish they had included The Amazing Sounds of Orgy and Kinetic (both from the "Pyramid Song EP") over Pulk/pull Revolving Doors and Hunting Bears. While waiting for them to release a follow up album, I listen to "Wall of Eyes" by The Smile (for those who don't know: 2/3rds Radiohead and 1/3rd Sons of Kemet).

^ All of it? Shocked

I'm a big Radiohead fan - Pablo Honey really intrigued me when it came out, it was like Britpop on steroids. Have lost track of them over the years, so I should definitely listen to their discography again. Will take me a week, but it'll be worth it Cool

^ The Decemberists are great. Kayo Dot is another band that used to get talked about a lot and then not much for more years than it has been inactive. I'm more into Kayo Dot now than I was when it was often talked about. I guess my tastes are rather out of fashion....

Wasn't searching for this topic, but a belated I'm here. A Moon Shaped Pool is actually what really got me majorly into Radiohead (as well as hearing music from Radiohead in Westworld), and it was one of my albums of the year in 2016. I'm much more into Radiohead now than then. It still has few reviews at PA (nine) eight years later. I'd review it, but I'm not much of a reviewer. That, OK Computer, Kid A, and Amnesiac have been my most listened to Radiohead albums.

I did find 2016 to be an exemplary year for music.

I've not heard the latest yet.  I was quite disappointed in the previous Radiohead release, as well as the Thom Yorke solo album, so I haven't really been motivated to check out the new one yet.

The Decemberists have pretty much gotten the same silent treatment with their latest.  5 years back or so, they were a prog darling, but their latest has barely elicited a whisper in the PA community.

Radiohead have produced some pretty amazing albums, but the last one was just treading water - maybe that's why there is a shortage of eulogies.

If they make another good record, maybe.

The last two are huge

Maybe PA just doesn't care about Radiohead as much as RYM does.
