Probably expressed before, but the lack of love for APP is astonishing to me.

Agree with everyting here. I still think TAAB is pretty great though. It's just that I've often "had my fill" when the A-side ends (because it does get a bit samey).

I feel the same way...after side 1 I'm ready to listen to other Tull music.
I have always felt that Anderson and early Tull stood out in the 'shorter songs' and not the longer 'prog pieces' like TAAB and PP.

I've never been that enamoured by most of Tull's albums, but I do think that Heavy Horses is excellent

Heavy Horses just above Songs from the Wood for nostalgic reasons. Followed by TAAB, Minstrel and Benefit. I don't care for the rest. Not even Aqualung, except for the title track and Locomotive Breath.

I am not sure, but I voted for Aqualung.

In my opinion, Thick as a Brick is "PROGGER" than the others but it isnt the best.

The others are very good (yep, warchild) with only one rather weak, Too Old.

You forgot Minstrel in that mix

Minstrel? You'll find it in the second drawer.

That one goes in the first tier alongside albums like a APP and TaaB 😂

I have 1975 second last of those years 68-79

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
