I wouldn't rate Radiohead amongst my Top 1000 artists, but I still went out and bought four of their albums. Go figure. Wink

Subterranea by miles.
But it interests me how OK Computer divides opinion, like marmite. I absolutely hate it, as do several of my friends, but some love it. I've rarely come across anyone who is indifferent to it.

Speaking of Magellan:

Savatage's album The Wake of Magellan is incredibly underrated and one of their best albums overall Smile

(and the reason I'm bringing it up is because it was released in 1997!)

Take me down, to the underground
Won't you take me down, to the underground
Why oh why, there is no light
And if I can't sleep, can you hold my life

GYBE is ok, IQ is fine, FW is nice, RH is meh

I bet Discipline could only wish that they would have an album as influential, impactful, and inspiring as OK Computer. I also think it quite timeless, and it is an album that I believe will still hailed as a masterpiece and referenced by many in forty years, whereas Discipline I think just will be more of a footnote in much more niche circles. If we survive as a civilization, that is. I don’t think popularity equals quality, but I do believe that that RH achieved both popularity and quality. Of course it can just be about individual taste, but meh is not a word I would associate with the album.

Fish, DT and Marillion also released quite neat albums that year, but again - Unfolded is absolutely flawless in my book

That said, I love 'OK Computer' as well.

I LOVE these two as well but had to go with Pär Lindh's masterpiece.
