whatever is decided is fine with me--  from the ten short samples, I think they'd be fine in Heavy.. it's Heavy Prog, so it can have other elements in addition to the hard guitar backbone.. Eclectic would also be OK, I don't know about Xover

I'll go with Symphonic; my choice has more to do with influences I noticed from other Brazilian symphonic bands, like O Terço and Sagrado.

It has Eclectic qualities, but I don't think I'd want it for Eclectic -- Eclectic (noted for those others who read this) being a melange of "prog  styles" with no clear referential core (it's not sufficiently "prog" to these ears based on what I heard).  Interestingly enough, when I first read your post, I read it as catholic, with a small c,  rather than Catholic, which indicates eclectic (all-embracing).

Yes Logan, they blend various elements, Eclectic is a good alternative as Crossover.

It's a Pandora Box.

I'm listening to the tracks here --> http://www.myspace.com/agnusgraal

I'll have a chance to listen properly later, but I would have thought it better for an art-rock sub, or even related, than symph, and doesn't sound very neo to me.  I think Xover should take a listen.

Guigo just called my attentuion with a Brazilian band called AGNUS GRAAL.

For what I hear, they can be in any of the above mentioned genres, strangely a Catholic Prog Band, not excellent but good IMO..............Prog beyond any doubt.

IMO they're are in the borderline that divides Symph from Neo, but they claim to be a Heavy Prog band, and there are reasons to believe them.

I will wait to vote because I'm lost..
