3. VdGG - Over the Hill
4. Karmakanic - Who's the Boss in the Factory?
5. The Tangent - Four Egos, One War
6. VdGG - Lifetime
7. The Mars Volta - Metatron
8. The Tangent - A Crisis in Mid-life
9. The Tangent - Bat Out of Basildon

VdGG-Over the Hill
The Mars Volta-Hard to pick one song off Bedlam, the whole album flows so well, but I'll probably go with Goliath for the awesome 25 minute version they played live
Nachtmystium-Ghosts of Grace (i know they're not here but I find their newest album pretty proggy)
Opeth-Heir Apparent, Lotus Eater, or maybe Burden

I haven't had too much money this year so I haven't bought many albums

I'll wait until the end of the year, but can't see anything topping Marillion's "Real Tears For Sale". Absolutely stunning.

He's shooting for the Proggy awards.  You know the type of music that is released just before year end to get in under the wire and it is still fresh in the mind of the voters.

Well here is mine...

1. Day Without Dawn - The Undertide - it's so obvious.
2. The Sound Of Animals Fighting - Cellophane
3. Eksi Ekso - I Thought You Died the Last Time
4. Moving Mountains - With One's Heart In One's Mouth
5. Long Distance Calling - Metulsky Curse Revisited
6. East Of The Wall - Unwanted Guest
7. Krobak - By the Music of Autumn Trees
8. Lite - Ghost Dance

I can't really make a list since I've heard very little from this year, but I agree with your number one choice.  This is definitely my favorite song from this year. Thumbs Up
