Explosions In The Sky's "The Wilderness" and Hibernal's "The Dark Of The City' (instrumental mix) are 2 wonderfully recent craftings. :)

Bruford's three fusion albums are favorites of mine and
Liquid Tension Experiment has several nice hard prog fusion things out there

Not sure if they've already been mentioned but if you're open to instrumental prog post-punk, I'd say Dif Juz could sometimes fit the bill.
