Topic: Your Theme Song Posted: August 25 2005 at 16:18 |
If you could have a song that represents you and/or your life, what would it be? State the song, artist, and your reasoning.

Hmm- it's not a prog song...in fact it's a cover of an original from Jimi Hendrix...please don't kill me
What I'm talking about is the Corrs version of Little Wing. Reasons: Female singers for my being a women, a celtic overtone to it for my partial Irish descent and never-ending love of Irish music and *most* musicians (give me Lorreina McKennit any day! ), damn awesome guitar riff for my love of head-banging and mosh-jumping, and (this will sound stupid but here goes...) my love of angels (kinda the same as yours BaldJean) that I became obssessed with at the tender, depressing, in-bloom, suicidal age of 14...and I'm LITTLE!!!
I AM SO LITTLE!!!
believe me....it's annoying! Everywhere I go people call me midget/ hobbit...gah. I get patted-on-the-head like a dog at friken University. You can *see* why I love to patronise others- its because I get looked down on (literally!) 24/7 myself!
And I can be quite submissive and overly-generous: "Take anything you WANT from me....anything..."
Cool idea for a thread Sonic Wizard

Shaving is Boring - Hatfield & The North
Cause shaving IS boring.
Musik - Dag Vag (Swedish non-prog group)
Cause it's about a boy who, thanks to his mother, loves music. Just like me.

One of my many ludicrous ambitions is for a sketch show fused with a
surrealist film approach that doesn't always attempt to be funny. Well,
I can't explain it really. The point is that if it ever happens it will
be called Unglued Planet and the theme tune will be the first 30
frantic seconds of "Accelerations" by Krakatoa. Yes.

I guess "Jerusalem" would be theme song. It all started in middle school when people would ask me "Are you English?" because of the vocabulary I would use when talking to people online and in person (damn their stupidity!). Then a couple years later, my one friend found out I knew the lyrics to the song, so he would keep pestering me to sing it with 'im (the words 'e didn't know that is). Thus it 'as become my theme song. And that's all I 'ave to say about that.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

Fine... I'll go with Freewill by Rush. I suppose it represents my belief that everyone has complete control over their life and actions. It also represents my aethiest views.

Frame by Frame (King Crimson).
Because that's how life goes.
Plus its just a really cool song. And I transcribed the whole thing into Powertab, (which was a huge bitch).

I always thought that "The Sheltering Sky" by KC or "The Boys in the band" by GG would be a good theme song.

"A Farewell To Kings" (the song) by Rush.
It doesn't really describe me, but it pretty much sums up my view of the world.
For a more personal song, I'll have to think harder, and I don't want to do that right now.

Easy!
'Desert falls' by Transience, from the CD 'Sliding'...
Sums me up, pretty much!
