Noobies For Scrutiny-Admin !!!

I also was checking in here since a long time, maybe last summer, but I didn't have the courage to subscribe (My english was a major concern). And I really feel it was different before I decided to enter as a regular member. Maybe I am part of `those annoying youngster, I don't know, but still, I hope no one will leave because of how it seem to be changing.

Maybe there could be a section only for people with over (100) posts. It's a lame solution, I know, but still you can avoid the ones just going here to make trouble then get away after. There probably is a kind of section like that already existing I am not aware of, because I am not a collaborator or reviewer...

After being away for a while, and just now perusing many of the threads on the main page and the DNRTM section, I can only conclude that this forum is getting steadily dumber and nastier, as the average member age continues to decrease, and more and more ignorant and anti-social youngsters flock to the site.

Many seem to be here only to cause trouble, and offend the majority.

Many seem to be blocked users who've returned to get "revenge."

Whatever -- the overall level of intelligence and civility here has plummeted, and will continue to do so, I expect.

I believe that the good old days are irretrievably gone -- "success" breeds excess, and the web seems to be frequented mainly by immature assholes.

I think I'll generally stick to writing reviews, PMs, and posting in the Collabs section, as the inmates have clearly taken over the asylum.

As with the wider world, so with the PA forums?

Kudos to the Admins and all of a decent bent who "soldier on," and try to reason with these idiots and increase the level of "discourse" here, but reading the inane, incoherent and hostile "posts" of teenage boys who want to be "bad," instead of making friends and expanding their knowledge of good music, is just not for me.

(I bet we're losing old-timers at a record rate....)

I'm genuinely sorry to be a wet blanket (again), and I have no ready "fix" to propose, but I don't think I'm alone in feeling this way.

Seriously, I think that my continuing to read 90% of the crap that is posted lately will inevitably destroy my motivation to write reviews... Does anyone else out there feel increasingly angered, depressed, and "de-motivated" when reading the barrage of outright twaddle that seems to typify this place these days?
