Being a big fan of the Ozrics I understand that Ed Wynne has set up a side project called Noden Ictens, I haven't had a chance to listen to any of their stuff though and I was wondering what they sound like. Is it similar to what the Ozrics do or is it a completely different take on.

I saw them support Curved Air some time around 1990 (the original Curved Air line up had got back together - excellent gig). Nodens Ictus was 3 synth players, including Ed Wynne, plus Jon Egan on flutes. Kind of ambient, vaguely Tangerine Dream style stuff, very pleasant and obviously Ozrics related, but the world music/reggae influences were not so much in evidence. I've never heard any of their recordings, but based on their performance I think they'd be worth checking out.
