For me, it'll be the guy from I.Q., because he has his own voice, and only emulates Gabriel in certain songs, in what I think is kind of a tribute. On the other hand, months ago, I heard a song from Citizen Cain; wich I thoutgh was incredible. I don't know if I was not fully focused or what, but I recently acquired "Somewhere but yesterday" (and a couple of long faces from my girl, I think I'm spending too much money on music). The thing is, I think very differently now about them, at the ponit in wich perhaps I would rescue only The instrumental parts...

¿You?

For me its got to be (strangely) Manyard James Keenan from Tool. This guy comes up at concert dressed and painted like you've never seen a human being or even just downright creepy! His movements and all adds alot to the overall atmosphere, wich isn't happy by the way. A good performer and nice voice too ranging from pure anger screams like in Tool or very calm and gentle like in his other band A perfect circle. He's my other Peter Gabriel.

For me it would have to be Fish. I know there are always comparisons, and most aren't positive. It's the poetry, and passion that do it for me.

I can sort of see the IQ aspect, but I don't think the singing styles are that similar. I've always liked Gabriel's voice, but IQ took a while to get used to. That nasaly slide can be a bit grating.

As it comes to voices: there was a guy in the Dutch prog rock band November who sounded a lot like Pete, I think. I also think Phil Collins sounds a lot of times a lot quite a bit like PG. And the guy from Neuschwanstein.

As it comes to theatre: I think Fish and Pete Nicholls come close. And PG has at least something in common with David Bowie. Call it theatre.

As it comes to personality: I think Jon Anderson and Roger Waters are also very strong characters in their own way, real visionaries.
