I adore symphonic prog and progressive metal equally. Next is art rock and psychedelic/space rock. Don't know much about RIO/Avant-prog, but I like Frank Zappa.

I'm going to be buying one or two albums from these bands (most likely):

  • Absolute Zero
  • Ahvak
  • Alamaailman Vasarat
  • The Residents
  • Samla Mammas Manna
  • Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
  • Thinking Plague
  • Univers Zero
  • Far Corner
  • Miriodor

I may have forgotten a few. Those are just off the top of my head. I'm grabbing a bunch of other stuff too. I may have to buy them over a period of time though.

I think that's a harder question than what is your favourite band, nonetheless I think symphonic prog and variants is what I enjoy the most.

Surprisingly perhaps, I enjoy Space Prog, Symphonic and neo about the same, but I respect all genres (except for Mike Patton Wink).
