From what I've heard, KC have had gaps in being a prog band, too. To say they're "hardcore" is a bit of a stretch.

<<Says Marillion boy....>> I'll be the first one to admit Marillion has had gaps in this particular genre. Let's just establish that right now. E

Rush (though I love many Crimson stuff). They bring me far more emotions and deeper experiences.

King Crimson by a lightyear. Musically much more original.

I don't 'love' Rush, but I do like them. I don't ' hate' Crimson, but I'm not keen on them.
Of course, I voted for Rush!

I'm not a really a Rush fan, but I do really like there music. Same with King Crimson, but I like them a little more than Rush.

Mmm, I won't even think about it. King Crimson has variety of different ways of expressing progressive music and ideas (always using different music styles, especially jazz <3) with the usage of many classical instruments and mellotron (which is a personal love) and changed their sound from time to time. Rush's songs sound a little bit similar to me and this last comment does not mean in any way that I don't like Rush. But King Crimson win this time.
