Been using the site for a couple of years now and passing the link along to the prog-curious.

I've been into this kind of music for nearly 40 years, but have had my ears opened to a whole slew of new (and) old bands that I'd missed. I was early on into Yes, KC, Genesis, Gabriel, ELP, Marillion, and the other usual suspects but somehow missed some incredible bands.

Thanks to you guys on the boards for sharing stuff you're listening to. I usually will to take a listen and see what all the fuss is about.

A few discoveries I've made at Prog Archives:
  • Porcupine Tree
  • Solaris
  • IQ
  • The Tangent
  • Frost
  • Spock's Beard (What rock have I been hiding under?)
  • Riverside
  • and more...
So, thanks for the suggestions (keep 'em coming) and for providing a great site. Clap

Half of the band Kansas live in Hotlanta! Can't stand the place myself (I lived in Albany for a while and still have some of that red clay dirt in my shoes), but I digress -

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I know about the Kansas connection. I'm an actor here and did a shoot in Jonesboro a couple of years ago - there was a signed pic of Kansas on the wall in the studio. I kind of freaked and asked where they got it. It seems that production company shot a live show and produced the DVD for Device Voice Drum when they played, the now renamed, EarthlinkLIVE. iirc.

Small world, huh?
