Topic: ¿Your other collection? Posted: September 20 2006 at 21:38 |
Friede and I collect malt whiskies. unfortunately the collection keeps dwindling all the time, no matter how much we collect. not that we drink that much, but there are only 35 drinks in a 0.7 l bottle, so even at our current quota of one drink per person and evening almost two bottles get emptied per month. and malt whisky is expensive. oh, and we have quite an impressive library too

Really? Same with m- Oh. You're, uh, joking. Er, yeah, so was I. Really.
But seriously, I collect frog and turtle related items.
I also have a baboon skull, an alligator head, some mounted butterflies, a fossil fish (too bad it's not a Schindleria Praematurus ), and some other mounted insects, mostly fairly large, colourful beetles.

I dabble in coins, and I'm really into SF books. I have well over a thousand going back quite a few years. Not sure if they're worth anything, but I like them.
One coin I have has the Roman emperor Constantine on it, pretty cool. About 1600 years old I think.

Well so far I only have a Michael Jackson and a Jar Jar Binks doll (Marilyn Manson has exactly the same doll ) But I'm looking for more, only I can't find any.

What if you collect a collector who collects collector collectors and tries to collect you? |

That cat skull is scary, I've seen it!
Erm... well I'm maybe a bit sadder... or used to be, until I realised how sad I was!
I used to firstly collect Lledo 1930s cars and even had some from Walkers Crisps and some other ones I sent off for. I soon stopped that!
Then I somehow got into EFE and Corgi model buses... very peculiar! I still have all these and my model bus collection is worth around £300 or more.
But before all that, I was heavily interested in plastic aircraft model kits and I have some rare Czech made models of 1930s Luftwaffe aircraft, which are still boxed.
Oh and I also have a couple of OO guage trains that I bought when my dad had his model railway. Again, I still have them.
