Speaking of The Stylistics, I saw an advert on that crappy channel 3 on the goggle-box yesterday for their Greatest Hits package.

Now I know who they are!  I think they had one well known song that I know.

We just go out and get drunk. LOL

Same thing isnt it?LOL

Great meeting you and Jared last night, and a great gig too, one which I will write up some time. Shame you couldnt have joined us Dean.

James, did you actually ge to meet the band afterwards?

I met Mariusz and one of the Piotr's (Grudzinski I think), but the other two alluded me.  Mariusz signed all my CDs and signed one for Nicky too.  Our copies of R.E.M. are personalised too!

I didn't chat to them in depth though, 'cause Nicky wanted to get back, but Mariusz especially seemed a genuine gentleman and it would have been nice to have chatted to him properly.

Yes, it was great meeting you both too.  I hope my dancing didn't put you off possible meetings in the future either!  I was "in the moment". Wink

But they Censoreding rocked and even the better half liked them! Shocked

I know how you felt, you should have seen me head-bang away to Isis earlier in the year, though I was nothing compared to the guy next to me (windmill headbanging anyone?LOL).

As for being put off future meetings, never.

Aye, 'tis good to know, 'tis 'tis.

There were those two young chaps near the front who were getting carried away too, not just me!  There was also a fair few ladies there, which was most welcome (not on my part, obviously).

Nicky swears blind they're not prog metal and also swears blind they remind her of R.E.M., Marillion and Pink Floyd.  I wouldn't say I heard any R.E.M. (only the title track of the album, of course Wink), but I did hear Marillion, Floyd, PT and even some Opeth.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Oddly, whilst driving back from Lydney, I somehow went slightly the wrong way and ended up passing Riverside country club.

Then last night, a band called Fandangle played at the local metal club.

Weird.

I don't think they're omens, good Angel(o), but more positive signs. Wink

Besides, I have never written Redrum on my fridge with magnetised letters...

In Lydney?  I doubt it.

Maybe in good ol' London Town, but not in the middle of The Forest of Darqdean.

Well - Dean does know a bit about making lamb, but I guess your right. Mr. Oliver worked at the River Cafe, not the Riverside Country Club....

Nah, they've played Swine Town before and they're scar-punk, which isn't my thang.  Yes, I said thang.

Maybe it's not my thong, either?

Hmm... or maybe it is?

THE GREY ROOM MUST BE SAVED FROM THE YOUNG.
