That's right - sit in the middle of an enchanted forest with your imaginary furry friend, feed bilberry wine to your "weed" & it will tell you stories...

Nothing dodgy there, then...

Good old Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate.

There really must have been 'something in the water' in those days.Even I,at the tender age of @ 7, used to get quite excited at anything being shown on Watch With Mother by the Postgate/Firmin axis.

Noggin the Nog,Pogles Wood,Ivor the Engine...Fantastic stuff. I'll bet they were a pair of 'old jazzers.'

I have Oliver Postgate's autobiography but have never read it.I'll be ransacking my loft this evening I should imagine

Ah, Ivor the Engine was great, I remember the books and even have one somewhere.  One of the original Milky Bar Kids was Mark Curry, who later went onto to present Blue Peter (he was the one who destroyed a lego head on there).

Noggin the Nog too, nostalgia!

For me though, it's Bagpuss!

Oh and sometimes have Bilberry Jam round Nicky's, does that count?

This is more of an Earl Grey room than a Grey room.  They claim we speak the same language as our cousins across the pond, but I'm not so sure...ConfusedWink

Not a grey hair among them - this is the Grey Room isn't it?? Come on chaps, start talking about things they've never heard of... the Milky bar kid, Marathon bars, Pippin & Tog, the three day week, miners strikes, Harold Wilson, Jubblies...

THE GREY ROOM MUST BE SAVED FROM THE YOUNG.

LONG LIVE AGE! DOWN WITH THE YOUNG!

The Earl Grey Room.  Now there's an idea.  We could discuss the finer points of tea from the safety of a well insulated shed.Smile

Not after I dealt with them... those injections really made them slow.  Thus I could defeat them easily.  Nice.

For some reason "English" Coke does taste really bad.  No idea why, but after trying one when I visited I quickly decided to stick with tea and beer!  Tongue

I must say something though: Budvar Budewice is much nicer than Budweiser Budvar. Wink
