If you can manage to get some pussy with LTIA part II as background music then you are an Alpha Male |
Actually LTIA part II was quoted illegally in "Emmanuelle" movie, in the "love scene"

Of course! I'd add to the ones already mentioned the great Pendragon. It's soft, mellow, delicate music and it's romantic also because of the lyrics! That's why I was sucessful making some girls like Pendragon.

no.... but I get the gist of what it means.. so I guess I'm not that far over the hill yet.. anyway.... Starless ... King Crimson ... that was what was playing in my CD player when I drove Raff back to the airport to fly home after her first visit here. That... that is romantic.. holding hands ..saying nothing but taking in the shear majesty of that song knowing the love of your life.. the one you have waited years to find.. was going to be leaving ... and not knowing when you would see her again.

I know it sounds stupid coming from a 19 year old "youngster", but i
can kinda get it. I mean, music, it can be very intimate, and to share
that with someone special (i get that raff is very special to you, and
my "girlfriend" is also very special to me,, for various reasons) can
be pretty intimate. That is why it is so great having someone who share
your musical tastes, because i would never want to fight over car music
or have the words "turn that crap off" ringing in my ears whenever i'm
listening to VDGG or Comus. It would feel like a sort of insult towards
me personally every time.
Perhaps i'm reading more into it than there is, but sure, music is another way to connect. And a very important one, at least for me.

oh yeah.. sharing musical taste is very important.... in the guerillla war that was the last years .. like the whole 10 years of my marriage.. . the Battle of CD City was a bloody conflict that claimed many 'lives'.. Celine Dion albums accidentally run over... Magma albums somehow used as hot plates for her f**king Green Bean casserole... however like many wars.. no one actually won... everyone loses. If you love music.. make sure your so.. does as well.. especially with the sh*t we tend to like.

Which is why it just feels so good whenever she mails me to tell me of a new Zeuhl album that she bought.. sh*t. I am so lucky. Totally worth every single year of angsting and hoping.. : ) By the way, not having been too frequent around these parts as of late, i must ask, do you still live on separate continents, you and Raff?

If you mean 'Feel Good' then Dusk by Genesis it is. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway also, with that very joyful chorus. Supertramp would be an entire band. Yes' Magnification also is a 'Feel Good' Prog album. Duh! You got billions of 'Feel Good' Prog!

Not stupid at all!!! Music fills the empty intervals when you have nothing to say to your love one and the music still connects you

To my ears, symphonic prog has much in common with the last period of classical music, the period that spawned Debussey and Ravel- it was called the Romantic Period.

true, but only partially - symphonic prog indeed owes much to messers Debussy and Ravel - however, Romantic period was earlier, it was Beethoven, Wagner, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt time.
