Nazareth are awesome.

You bet! Clap Heard Budgie?

I do not know. I don't know the name but I might have heard the music at some point.

You should check them out! They're similar to Rush's first two albums, check the samples here in PA. Great band.

Hopefully you'll like them.

Heard a couple of Budgie songs on the Dick Heath show sometime back, they were alright... unfortunately, rock purchases (exception: Hawkwind) have been suspended for a while here.

But I wasn't talking to you!! Angry I was talking to that Rush fanboy!! WinkTongue

Yes, but the music itself ruins everything for me, except Blues Variation with some killer HammondTongue (my hammond fanboyism once again shows)

Blues Variations is gold. At least for that, the 2 stars button could have been pressed.

And with Lake's vocals, 3.

Don't make me bring out 'Coldplay Cacho'... my alliterations have no end.

The rhythm section is absolutely bursting with verve and energy, the revamping of a classical tune on that scale is pretty impressive (and I really like the original, despite my general hatred of classical orchestras), the amount of atmosphere the band can pull out is pretty impressive, there's a nice Lake showcase. Keith is a general studbeast, because screechy dated moog is the stuff, and it has one of the best Hammond lines ever.

Yeah, I love that album... didn't get it at first, though I'd already heard the Works Live version (better in some respect).

LOL  I thought about the 2 stars, but nah.....hahhahaWink

It's just a simple blues song, if ELP had modificate it, it surely had deserved the 2 stars, as well as for the bonus track, which is OK.

Anyway, midnight here, so I'm off... got to relearn languages properly so I can actually write them over the holidays, and screwing with my sleep schedule isn't going to help that much. See you gents tomorrow. Tell me who won.

No doubt, great musicianship there, like always, but just all thrown together, and makes a total mess for me.

On the other hand, Tarkus...

I didn't look closely enough at it. I was more entranced by the two Rick Wakeman albums I'm now in possession of.

No, Pictures At an Exhibition 80's or 90's studio version. Sounds like what they've been doing with Black Moon. It's OK.
